Seachem's description: CupramineTM is superior to copper sulfate, chloride & citrate. It is non-acidic, less toxic to fish, remains in solution, and does not contaminate the filter bed. It is superior to chelates. It is fully charged (ionic), and active at low concentrations, and is removable with carbon. 50 ml treats 250 gallons. Net contents: 50 ml (1.7 fl oz -1000 drops) Directions: Remove all invertebrates. Turn off UV sterilizer; remove chemical filtration. Use 2 drops per 4L (1 US gallon) the first day, wait 48 hours, then repeat for a total dose of 0.5 mg/L (in freshwater use 1/2 dose). Leave at this concentration for 14 days. Do not redose without testing (MultiTest: Copper) Do not use in conjunction with any other medication. If tank has ever been treated with an ionic copper test copper level after initial dosing. Although most fish tolerate Cupramine to 0.8 mg/L it is not advisable to exceed 0.6 mg/L copper. Remove with carbon or CupriSorbTM.
Not EF tested in fresh water. EF tested against marine ich on a Regal Tang (Dory), and anyone
that has fought that battle knows its difficulty. I still have the tang, but while Cupramine might have prevented
reinfestation from the tank, it was not effective against the ich larvae deeply embedded in the fish skin.
However, the fish did tolerate dosage with this product well, and the blue-legged crab I couldn't catch is still
with the living. It is difficult to assess how effective it was, but it did no harm.
50 ml (1.7 fl oz -1000 drops) treats 250 gallons Intended for use on aquarium/ornamental fish only. Not for use
on fish intended for human consumption.
