Kordon's description: KORDON'S Rid·Ich+® is a combination of two powerful medications which have been scientifically proven effective in the control of many diseases of fishes caused by freshwater external parasites such as Ichthyophthirius (white spot disease), Costia, Trichodina, Chilodonella and saltwater external parasites such as Cryptocaryon and Amyloodinium. The medication can also treat fungal infections in fishes. Rid·Ich+ is recommended as the best treatment for Ich (white spot disease). The Rid·Ich+ formula utilizes the less common but also less toxic chloride salt of malachite green. Rid·Ich+ has been shown to be reasonably safe for use on fishes which normally cannot tolerate malachite green alone. Rid·Ich+ will not interfere with biological filtration. Rid·Ich+ contains a special fisheries grade formaldehyde and zinc-free chloride salt of malachite green. © 1999, Novalek, Inc
Not EF tested, but from experience with Aquatronics Super Rid Ich of similar
composition: Reduce dose by 50% if tetras are present. (May kill tetras at full strength, loaches,
catfish and scaleless fish, some snails at any strength, but may be the most effective treatment for many parasites
on scaled fish.) Reduce dose further if catfish, plecos, silver or scaleless
fish are in tank. Do not add copper sensitive fish to the tank until several water changes have gone by or one water change and
filter thru fresh carbon for several hours.
