Miracle Zyme™ is the premiere product for the pond and water garden enthusiast. It greatly reduces maintenance and beautifies the pond. It starts working immediately, binding small particles in the water which cause discoloration and cloudiness. These particles sink to the bottom where they are rapidly consumed by 8 strains of bacteria specially selected for their effectiveness in ponds. These bacteria multiply quickly, breaking down excess food, sludge, waste, decaying plants and leaves found on the bottom of the pond and in the filter. EF TESTED in ponds without filtration. Pale blue tint, slight improvement in clarity, didn't harm fish or plants. However, we could only leave the pump and filter off so long, around 7 days. Whether the pond would have cleared is undetermined. Since the filter ALWAYS clears the pond as long as there is no lime (and we build these simple wet/dry's), I can't say whether the Miracle Zyme was a contributing factor or not. I run my pond organic, but their other products are excellent.
