There are no before pictures, but we took this large pond from a mudfilled liner with impossible access for maintenance to a manageable functioning pond that remains relatively clear and healthy for the fish. Given the left wall, which is loose scree, we did pretty well at getting the pond in, up and staying up. There is a height difference of nearly a foot between the left wall, or back, away from the pool, and the poolside. This left a lot of liner exposed, so we did cover it with stacked rock, no mortar. Not our normal recommended technique, and we avoid it if humans will need access to the pond. But it looks nice. Photos and work, August 2006
